Companies Collaboration
Prof. Marlon was the Head of Engineering in the Laboratory of Technological Support (LAT) last year. LAT is one of the Labs of the University of São Paulo (USP), inside the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC), that develops partnerships with companies to create innovative projects in biophotonics. We develop projects in optical and electronic instrumentation, blood and biomedical microscopes, and biotechnological projects.
OSA Student Chapter
The OSA Student Chapter is a group of students from undergraduate and graduate students, seeking the development of optics and photonics, focusing on teaching, scientific outreach, and the development of its members.

Participating in Events Organization 
The Advanced School in Topics of Biophotonics 2019 was hosted at the São Carlos Institute of Physics, with the participation of SPIE Student Chapter.[/caption] The SPIE Student Chapter organize and helps in the organization of events, one of which was the Advanced School in Topics of Biophotonics hosted at the São Carlos Institute of Physics in 2019.
Participação na Feira de Ciência e Tecnologia da USP 
Feira de Ciência e Tecnologia da USP de 2019, sendo apresentada pela Dirigente de Ensino, Débora Costa Blanco.[/caption] A Feira de Ciência e Tecnologia da USP, realizada em São Carlos – SP, é um evento regional organizado pelo CEPOF e pelo Instituto de Física de São Carlos (IFSC). Este evento reúne diversos alunos oriundos de escolas públicas da região de São Carlos, para a apresentação de seus trabalhos, e para a exposição de experimentos científicos da USP. O SPIE Student Chapter, durante a feira, apresenta seus experimentos, e se diverte ensinando Ciência para o futuro de nosso país.
Science Outreach
Dentre seus pilares, o SPIE Student Chapter destaca seu interesse em divulgação científica. Seja no auxílio a eventos maiores, ou na organização de eventos locais, o Chapter promove diversas atividades envolvendo a divulgação da ciência, e o ensino de conceitos científicos à comunidade.
Playing with Light
Com o desenvolvimento de uma série de brincadeiras, o SPIE Student Chapter ensina ciência de uma maneira divertida e interativa. Interagindo crianças e adolescentes com fenômenos físicos importantes, e instigando-as ao descobrimento da ciência.
